Group Classes

Having been through different group classes from several trainers early on with my own dog, I always felt it was "copy and paste" training and wasn't very helpful or insightful.

I hear almost that exact same thing from clients who come to me for training now.

With all that in mind and knowing that for many dogs, it is the safe, controlled exposure to other dogs that they need and will benefit most from, when I was putting together my group class training, I knew I had to avoid all the downfalls of the other types of group classes and I knew how to avoid them.

Django (front), Lucy (center) and Izzy (back) out on an adventure, doing some training in the real world!

Real Life Canines' group classes are small, limited to 4 dogs per class and are 90 minutes long. Having a smaller group and going beyond the typical 1-hour session allows everyone, both dog and human, to get the attention and guidance they need in real time while working in a safe group setting.

Here we have Tyson (left), Django (center) and Winston (right)

All males, two of them intact and all with a history of reactivity, fighting with other dogs and even multiple bites.

If you would like to know more about what sets myself apart from other trainers, here is a short article with insight into the difference between them and what I do.
