Consults & Evaluations

Our free consult is your first step in creating a new, genuine relationship with your dog.  I want to learn about your daily life, how the dog impacts it and how your lifestyle impacts the dog and its behaviour. We'll discuss what your goals are so we can develop a personalized training plan to reach them.

I also offer longer, paid consults for puppy planning and adoption planning of older dogs that includes a wealth of information and resources I put together to help you get a head start and ensure success. It covers everything- what to expect based on breed and genetics, age, and history, vet care, potty training, crate training, teething, fear periods, management, food and nutrition, grooming, exercise and if you plan on doing any sports or activities with them.

So before you decide on which puppy to bring home or commit to a four week, six week or three month training program with me or anywhere else, book your evaluation

Real Life Canines' priority is dog training, not making sales.

We want you to feel confident you made

the right decision training with us.

With Real Life Canines, the dog comes first.

Always.

For my clients now, the evaluation opened them up to what they've been misunderstanding, why they have been struggling with and now have renewed hope going forward. My training is deeply rooted in understanding, clear and fair communication and common sense. During evaluations, I can see first hand what brought you in, where the dog is physically and mentally and what your goals are.

If you would like to know more about what sets myself apart from other trainers, here is a short article with insight into the difference between them and what I do.
